Soo, I'm sitting at home, with my dog on my lap and my laptop on my dog, missing the end of my semester because I'm sick.  Wel, that's not the reason I'm writing this journal, but it is the reason that I have time to write this journal.

Well, I got a camera for christmas several years ago.  It was a Sony Cybershot, I don't remember the model, but it had 3.2 megapixels and 3x optical zoom (which is pretty awful if you don't know).  Anywho, this camera got wet on the second day of my month long canoe trip this summer even though it was in a drybox.  So, no pictures from that trip, well, at least not on my camera.  Fortunately, I got a new camera for christmas this year.  Its a Canon Powershot with 10 megapixels and 10x optical zoom, whichis pretty good for an average digital camera.  So, no I have the opportunity to take some good pics at home, but more importantly than that, I have a nice camera for when I go to Africa this spring.  I hope to get alot of good pictures!
